On March 16, 2016, two decrees promulgated by the Egyptian Ministry of Industry and Trade entered into force in 1999/2015 and 43/2016.

According to these two decrees, import clearance procedures have undergone significant changes and the list of controlled products has been expanded.

Manufacturers or trademark owners of controlled products must register with the Egyptian General Administration of Import and Export Supervision (GOEIC) before they can continue to export their products to Egypt.

In addition, the Egyptian General Administration of Import and Export Supervision (GOEIC) confirmed that all controlled products must obtain a Certificate of Qualification for Inspection (CoI) so that goods can be cleared at Egyptian ports and borders.

5. Provide original scanned documents of bill of lading after inspection (ship name, ship number, bill of lading number, date of bill of lading need to be complete)

6. Customers need to register in Egypt and get a registration number (no need to provide)
